For Sauvage Extrait, Francis Kurkdjian imagined a chiaroscuro of noble woods where the instinctive and mysterious notes of Vietnamese Oud and Indonesian Patchouli contrast with bright and vibrant accents of Madagascan Vetiver and Virginia Cedarwood. After assembly, Sauvage is aged for 42 days, bringing its composition to a climax of depth and intensity

A men's fragrance icon and true to its pioneering spirit, Sauvage Extrait is Dior's first extrait de parfum for men. A composition of unprecedented intensity, matured for 42 days to reach its peak of intensity, resulting in ultimate long-lasting wear and power.
The beating heart of the composition, the precious essence of Vietnamese oud, leaves its animalic imprint with leather notes in a rich blend of noble woods. In this denser and more woody interpretation, Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director, imagined this intense trail that pushes the limits of concentration. The dark and enveloping essence of Indonesian patchouli contrasts with the light, creamy essences of Madagascan vetiver and Virginia cedarwood. A sensual and powerful base that is contrasted by a fresh and aromatic top accord of bergamot and an essence of AOP lavender from Provence.
Its bottle, with its translucent interior lacquer – a true masterpiece of glasswork – evokes a drop of deep blue ink suspended in crystalline glass, engraved with the CD monogram. A signature that also adorns the cap, like a crown on the bottle.
Spray Sauvage Extrait on pulse points – wrists and neck – to reveal a powerful and long-lasting olfactory imprint on the skin.
