To get the very best out of your complexion, you should be taking care of it both morning and night. If you find you’re pushed for time in the morning, try some of these time-saving tips and tricks that will not just prioritise your skin but they will also ensure you’re out of the door on time every day!
Apply a mask on while you make your morning coffee
A hardworking face mask will give your skin an intense hit of hydration as well as a fix of vitamins and nutrients to ensure your complexion looks healthy and glowing throughout the day (so you might not even need foundation). Keep the mask in the fridge to give your tired skin a wakeup call. After you’ve made a pot of coffee, got dressed and maybe checked a few emails, by then it should be ready to remove.
Pick a moisturiser with SPF protection
Now is the time to be embracing the “skip-care” trend and leave those complicated 15-step routines to the experts. Rather than layering on moisturiser and then applying your SPF, choose a product that does both. (It’s so important to apply UV protection daily to prevent long-term sun damage that can’t be undone later down the line – not to mention lessening your risk of skin cancer.)
Bright lipstick goes a long way
If you’re a little tired or want to make a bit of an effort, without actually having to put too much effort in, then a bright lipstick can go a long way. Opt for a classic red or vibrant pink for a look that’s more fun and less femme fatale!
Blush and mascara are all you need for low-maintenance makeup
If you really don’t have the energy to pile on foundation, contour, highlight as well as applying a smoky eye, then you just need two things: blush and mascara. A quick dash of rouge can transform a dull, tired complexion and accentuate the cheekbones just as effectively as a complete contour. While mascara can open the eyes, adding subtle definition in seconds without looking too overly fussy.
