Gentlemen, do you instinctively reach for an aftershave after you have shaved your face? If so, and you suffer from sensitive skin or pain when you splash it on, it might be time to try and aftershave balm - here’s why.
What is aftershave balm?
Aftershave balm is one of the most versatile (and most utterly gorgeous smelling) products in a man’s grooming arsenal! It is primarily used on the face to soothe after shaving, but they also make pretty good all-round daily moisturisers due to their gentle, toning ingredients - such as tea tree oil, aloe vera and chamomile. They’re generally lighter than a usual moisturiser, so it won’t leave a greasy or oily feel to your skin - but it’s uses stretch further than that. How about using it to sooth sunburn, to help a new tattoo heal or for shaving delicate areas?
How to use your aftershave balm after shaving
After you have finished shaving wash your hands in cold water
Gently pat your clean-shaven skin with cool hands to close your pores
Pat your face dry with a fresh, clean towel
Put a small amount of balm into the palm of your hand and rub together
Gentle massage into your freshly shaven skin, using small circular motions
Leave the balm for 4-5 minutes to fully sink in
