I tried the new Paco Rabanne fragrances and here’s what they smell like 😍

Aquatic fragrances are nothing new. Nope, marine accords and hints of sea breeze were trending last year, but they’re back with a bang for 2018, thanks to the new Paco Rabanne Olympea Aqua for her and Invictus Aqua for him. I’m itching to try them, not only because I’m a big fan of the original duo, but also because I’ve fallen hard for the bottles already…

So let me tell you quickly about the bottles, which resemble the Olympea and Invictus you know and love, but this time the colours – coral for her and turquoise for him – are brighter and more luminous. They’re so uplifting (and that’s before I’ve even smelt them), I’ve decided that even if I hate the smell, I want them on my dressing table and in my partner’s bathroom cabinet asap.

And, of course, I don’t hate the smell. Imagine diving into the crashing waves of your favourite beach and lying in the sun all day – that’s what Olympea Aqua and Invictus Aqua smell of.

It’s hard not to love the salty vanilla smell of Olympea Aqua instantly. Why am I already obsessing over it? Because it mimics the smells of salt on your skin (aka that holiday smell, mmm). Next, you’ll get hints of citrus flower and cashmere woods, which are super-sexy and addictive, blending a deep intense base with light, airy top notes and resulting in the perfect combo.

Invictus Aqua is all about the potent smells of woodiness mixed with crashing waves and marine notes. This smash-up of freshness and heart creates a sexy smell that you’ll be begging your man to wear, ladies.

The faces of Paco Rabanne Olympea Aqua for her and Invictus Aqua for him? The stunning Luma Grothe, whose Instagram you might wanna check out RN, and Nick Youngquest, aka Aussie fittie who used to play rugby but now opts for modelling and teaching yoga.

I give this duo a 10/10 for realistically wearable, stunning fragrances that are great contenders for your 2018 signature scent.
