ULTIMATE LAUNCH: DIOR JOY
It’s no surprise that Dior Joy is our Ultimate Launch of the year. This vibrant, bright concoction of florals and citrus fruits contrasting beautifully with creamy musks is a must-have if you want to be as chic as Jennifer Lawrence in the brand’s campaign.
BEST WOMEN’S LAUNCH: MARC JACOBS DAISY LOVE EAU SO SWEET
The bottle is standout, but the scent is the best surprise of all – made to be spritzed against a backdrop of a peachy-pink sunset on a white-sand beach. Daisy Love Eau So Sweet is just as the name suggests – a sugary, ultra-feminine blend of white raspberries, crystallised cloudberries and jasmine milk.
BEST MEN’S LAUNCH: HUGO BOSS BOSS BOTTLED INFINITE
You’ll experience a burst of refreshing mandarin and apple, spiced up with warm cinnamon and sage, when you spritz this powerful, masculine fragrance. Sound like a dream? Yep, that’s why it’s been voted the best men’s launch of the year. It’ll have you starting every day the right way.
BEST CELEBRITY LAUNCH: ARIANA GRANDE CLOUD
Ari fans, this one’s for you. Multi-award-winning singer Ariana Grande sure knows a thing (or 10) about perfume, so if you haven’t sampled Cloud yet, you’re totally missing out. With cream of coconut, praline and juicy pear, it’s just as sassy and sweet as you’d expect from our favourite gal.
BEST DESIGN WINNER: CAROLINA HERRERA GOOD GIRL VELVET FATALE
It doesn’t get much more impressive than this – a red velvet stiletto filled with a divine fragrance. Iconic and completely OTT, it’s officially every girl’s must-have perfume. Packed with notes of heady almond, coffee and vanilla, it’ll awaken your senses straight away. Gorgeous.
BEST FEMALE FACE OF: JULIA ROBERTS FOR LANCOME LA VIE EST BELLE
This scent may have launched in 2012, but – boy oh boy – we’re still obsessing over Julia Roberts as its face. Elegant and sublime, Julia embodies La Vie Est Belle, with its signature blend of blackcurrant, pear and orange blossom that’s long-lasting on the skin and forever magical.
BEST MALE FACE OF: CHRIS HEMSWORTH FOR HUGO BOSS BOSS BOTTLED INFINITE
Chris Hemsworth is the Man of Today, according to the Hugo Boss Boss Bottled Infinite campaign – and we totally agree. It’s inspired by success but seeks balance and authenticity, too – and you certainly can’t go wrong with the ultra-sexy combo of citrus fruits and woody accords. Plus, if Chris wears it, it must be good!
BEST SUSTAINABLE & INCLUSIVE BRAND: THE PERFUME EDIT
Whether you’re a sustainable-conscious beauty buyer or not, The Perfume Edit is loved by everyone who tries it. The impressive range of three scents, which includes the ultra-fresh Citrus Fresco, is exclusively available at The Perfume Shop. It's also vegan, sustainable and 100%-recyclable. Going eco-friendly with your fragrance never smelt so good.
NOSE OF THE YEAR: HOLLY WILLOUGHBY
This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby is our nose of the year. Positive and bubbly, Holly brightens our weekday mornings and, well, we just wanted to say thank you to the queen of TV.
EXPERTS’ CHOICE: MONTBLANC EXPLORER
Right now, there’s no stopping this fragrance, which is fast becoming a household name. Montblanc Explorer is THE impressive scent of the year – three perfumers travelled the world to bag its unique ingredients so you could smell like no one has before. First come hints of zesty bergamot from Italy, followed by rich vetiver from Haiti and, finally, patchouli from Indonesia. You’ll be in adventure mode from morning till night.
