First, they discovered bright bursts of bergamot from Calabria in Italy, which are what makes this scent incredibly fresh. Next, they travelled to a remote part of Haiti called Les Cayes, where vetiver is organically and ethically produced. Their final stopover was the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, in the heart of the rainforest. Here, they found an exclusive, rich patchouli plant, which we’d say is the beating heart of Montblanc Explorer. You won’t have smelt this sharp and woody accord anywhere else. Fact.
THEY HELPED COMMUNITIES WHILE THEY WERE THERE
We can all appreciate that the aroma of Montblanc Explorer is outstanding (if you haven’t tried it, pop into store and give it a go), but the brand also ensured that local producers were supported in ethical and sustainable development. The aim? Allowing ingredient discoveries to go hand in hand with make the world a better place for a brighter future, just like the three libraries for school children constructed on the island of Sulawesi, providing 489 school children and their 33 teachers easier access to reading and education.
